About the game
This is the first game I have created in Unity. I was responsible for programming and designing the player movement, shooting mechanic, camera positions and an ability. The ability I made was a wall that the player could place to block enemies and their bullets. We decided to make a top down shooter with a unique gameplay mechanic, where the player would control two characters at the same time (they respond to the same inputs) to get through levels. These levels consisted of minion rooms, mazes and boss fights. During this project we worked with GIT. I think that learning how to use GIT in a development team was one of the most usefull things I have learned during this project. The game had four bosses which all used the split world in their own way. The first boss split himself up to attack on both screens. The second boss could travel between the worlds. The third boss defended himself with a wall on one world and ran around in the other world. The final boss had a portal that allowed bullets to travel to the other world. If the player shot in the portal on the left screen a bullet would fly at them on the right screen.
