This game is a passion project that I'm currently co-developing with a friend named Govand Maeruf. The code is written by me, while the design is done by both of us and he makes all the 3D models and UI elements.
The game is currently in its alpha stage. We hope to reach the beta stage by Q2 of 2020.
The goal of this project is to finish this game and release it on the Google Play Store. Another reason for this project is that I wanted to keep programming games while I take classes that don't involve game development. While making this game I hope to learn more about the Unity Game Engine.
At this stage it's possible for the player to sell tickets to visitors and buy different animals. When a ticket is sold, the visitor who bought it will follow the path through the zoo. There is a maximum amount of visitors that the zoo can handle. Buying animals makes the ticket price go up, so the player can earn more money. The animals eat and produce waste. The player has to fill the exhibit with food and empty out the waste.
The alpha game will be finished once these features are in the game: -Visitors will stand in a queue. -Upgrade system with upgrades like: visitor capacity, holding down the button will sell tickets and food and waste capacity. -Zoo upgrades that allow for more exhibits and animals. -Jungle and Arctic exhibits. -Seven to eight different animal species. -Save game function, which will allow players to retain their progress after exiting the app. The app will track the amount of time the player has been away and gives the player ingame currency accordingly to buy more upgrades.
